Winterizing the Yurt

October 2005

Yurts originally come from Mongolia, a place with harsh winters and lots of wind but no lumber for rigid structures. They are strong, light, and the round shape is very pleasing.

On a crisp Saturday in October 2005, a crew spent the day winterizing the yurt. This update will make the yurt more hospitable during the winter months in Minnesota.

Blessing of the MICAH Land

Summer 2004 kicked off with a celebration and blessing of the MICAH land in June. We gathered on the site for tours, picnic, and fellowship. Our attention then turned to worship and consecration of the site. It was a beautiful celebration of what God is doing through the vision of MICAH.

Labyrinth Project

A labyrinth is an ancient walking prayer practice based upon the notion of pilgrimage or spiritual journey. As we walk into the center towards God, we leave behind that which would hinder our relationship with the Divine. As we return out into the world, God walks with us, renewing our hearts, minds, and life.
